Two members of Old Square appear in the Court of Appeal

Deshpal Panesar KC and Serena Crawshay-Williams previously appeared in the EAT in the case of Leicester City Council v Mrs B Parmar [2024] EAT 85. They will now defend the Council’s appeal of that decision in the Court of Appeal. The EAT decision can be found here.

The case considers important questions regarding the burden of proof test in s.136 of the Equality Act 2010.
