OSC Counsel in the Supreme Court in Wicked Vision v Rice

News, Employment & discrimination

Old Square Counsel Nadia Motraghi KC, Rad Kohanzad, and Daisy van den Berg were delighted to appear in the Supreme Court on 21 May 2026 in the whistleblowing appeal in Wicked Vision v Rice acting for the Appellant, alongside other excellent counsel from across the employment bar.

See here for Nadia Motraghi KC’s submissions and here for Nadia’s Reply.

Judgment has been reserved. We wait to see whether the Supreme Court will determine that whistleblowers’ claims for whistleblowing dismissal are limited to unfair dismissal claims brought under Part 10 of the Employment Rights Act, or whether they may also bring claims for dismissal as a detriment under Part V ERA.

Special thanks to Peninsula and Rob McKellar and to Amit Patel of Atkinson Rose for their support with this appeal.
