Old Square Chambers is offering a third six pupillage commencing in October 2021. The pupillage is unfunded but you can expect to be busy appearing in the County Court and/or Employment Tribunals, be that virtually or in person.
Candidates will need to demonstrate a strong academic record, excellent communication skills and a capacity to manage a busy civil practice involving regular travel to Courts and/or Tribunals nationwide. The successful candidate will have experience of advocacy in court or tribunal.
Chambers will review its recruitment requirements in March 2022. While it is impossible to predict what our requirements will be, this may be a real opportunity for a strong candidate who has been unsuccessful at their first choice set.
Third six pupils do not pay contributions on their first £20,000 of earnings.
Interested candidates should email a copy of their CV and a covering letter (including references) detailing their interest to Sarah Earl, Chambers Director (firstname.lastname@example.org). If shortlisted for interview, you will be asked to supply a piece of written work in support of your application.
Old Square Chambers particularly encourages applications from members of groups which are under-represented at the Bar, and is committed to maintaining compliance with the Bar’s Equality and Diversity code.
