Chambers & Partners

Old Square Chambers is seeking applications for a probationary tenancy.  The successful candidate can expect a mixed employment and personal injury practice, with regular appearances in the Employment Tribunal and County Court.  Earnings are guaranteed in the first six months (details available on request) and, in addition, the first £20,000 of earnings will not be subject to any Chambers’ contributions.

The probationary tenancy is intended to be for 6 months, at the end of which period there will be an opportunity to apply for a full tenancy, depending on satisfactory completion of the probationary period.

Candidates will need to demonstrate a strong academic record, excellent communication skills and have had some advocacy experience in courts and/ or tribunals.  They should have the capacity to manage a busy civil practice involving online hearings and regular travel to courts and tribunals nationwide.

Interested candidates should email a copy of their CV and a covering letter (including references) detailing their interest to Sarah Earl, Chambers Director (searl@oldsquare.co.uk).

If shortlisted for interview, you will be asked to supply a piece of written work in support of your application.
