Robert Moretto and Naomi Rees appointed as Recorders

Old Square Chambers is pleased to announce that Robert Moretto and Naomi Rees have been appointed as Recorders, which will take effect from the 26th January 2022.

Robert has been appointed to the Midlands Circuit and will deal with crime. Naomi has been appointed to the Wales Circuit and will deal with civil matters.

These are part-time judicial appointments and both will continue to practice at Old Square Chambers. Robert is an expert in employment, discrimination, public law and human rights. Naomi Rees is a clinical negligence and personal injury specialist.

The Queen has appointed 163 Recorders on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, The Right Honourable Dominic Raab MP, and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, The Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.
