Zurich Insurance v Alan Bills

Tim Grey and Joanne Twomey, instructed by Janes Solicitors represented Alan Bills in a contempt of court action brought against him by Zurich Insurance after Mr Bills falsely claimed to have suffered more severe injuries than was the case after tripping on an unsafe pavement.

The case rehearses the important factors to be considered in sentencing for contempt and in particular on the weight to be attached to admissions of contempt at an early stage.
