Old Square Chambers invites you to an evening seminar on the Public Sector Equality Duty chaired by our Head of Chambers, Mark Sutton QC. Talks by members of our highly regarded Employment and Equality team, Ben Collins QC, Robert Moretto and Corinna Ferguson, will explore the topic in detail.

This seminar will include:

  • A recap of PSED principles, duties of information gathering and the meaning of “due regard”
  • Analysis of recent cases, including SS for CLG v West Berkshire District Council, Birmingham City Council v  Wilson and Ghulam v SSHD
  • Discussion of strategic issues (such as funding, timing and related litigation) and future developments
