A sun-drenched street in London was the ideal location for a party organised to raise funds for one of the nation’s most well known charities.

Furniture for fundraisers
This is the second time our team have visited the affluent location to take some photos of our furniture that was installed especially for the street party fundraiser. We couldn’t be happier to help out by providing products from our outdoor range, including white folding fan back chairs, chrome bistro tables and chairs, as well as chrome poseur tables and stools. In addition, we also supplied our 1830mm rectangular banqueting tables, all of which you can see photographed here.
The event had been set up by Old Square Chambers, a legal organisation who are raising funds on behalf of Great Ormond Street Hospital. Just like last year the event was a big success and featured all those key ingredients that turn a street into a party! Here are the top three must-haves that can make this happen…
Charity events held in the working week can be very convenient for those visiting them, especially when they’re located in the heart of the city like this occasion. Guests will tend to arrive straight from work, all ready to enjoy some tasty food, refreshments and maybe do some mingling too. You’re able to make this transition from work to party even smoother by arranging some fantastic entertainment, just like the organisers of this event did. Musical classics were provided by band BackTrak and really got the party started.
2. Interesting incentives
Visitors to charity events generally come primed to make donations, and encouraging this as much as possible can really have an impact on the level of funds raised. It’s a good idea to think about your audience and what they might find appealing, especially if you’re holding a raffle. This year there were some fantastic deluxe goods on offer for visitors buying tickets, such as an iPad Air, a Fortnum and Mason hamper, and spa experience, which helped to raise money for the charity and meant guests went home with some lovely treats too.
3. Whatever the weather!
We all know that the British Summer can be a bit… unpredictable at times so getting prepared for this ahead of outdoor events is crucial. Our client offered both indoor and outdoor space so if necessary visitors could avoid any rain, but the sun continued to shine down on the party anyway! Another tip is to choose furniture hire products that don’t mind a shower. Our white folding chairs and all items in our chrome range – including our bistro tables and chairs, and our poseur tables and stools – are weather resistant, so they aren’t affected by rain.
We’d like to congratulate Old Square Chambers on another fantastic fundraiser for Great Ormond Street Hospital, we were proud to assist with your chair and table requirements a second year in a row!
