On Friday 14th November, Robin Moira White was awarded the CEO award at the Trans in the City Awards 2025.
The Trans in the City CEO’s Award is the paramount award that Trans in the City gives in its yearly celebration and Gala. It is one of two awards that are not publicly nominated and externally judged but instead is chosen by Trans in the City CEO Bobbi Pickard and the Executive Directors to highlight an organisation or individual that has provided outstanding service to the trans and non-binary community over many years.
Bobbi Pickard says, of Robin winning the award, “Robin exemplifies what the Trans in the City CEO’s award represents. She has unselfishly dedicated much of her personal time for many years in helping organisations and individuals throughout the trans and non-binary community and beyond with empathy, intellect, love and humour. She is the community’s stalwart defender, a beacon of hope in dark times and I am delighted to present her this award as a token of the respect and love we feel for her and to celebrate her and her wonderful achievements over many years.”
Robin White said: ‘Trans in the City’ is one of the bright lights, bringing hope in what has been a grim year for trans people in the UK. It was a wonderful surprise to receive the award from my community and it will inspire me to redouble my efforts on behalf of those who need help and support.
