Stephen Grime KC has vast experience of complex litigation, particularly in personal injury and clinical negligence. He has acted in a range of high-value claims both for claimants and defendants. He regularly advises upon technical insurance points. He also undertakes cases involving negligent professionals, particularly in the insurance and construction fields.
Recently he has been engaged in cases involving the scope of the ex turpi causa defence in road traffic claims (McCracken v Smith EWCA Civ 380) and the impact of European law upon claims by passenger victims (Churchill Insurance v Fitzgerald EWCA Civ 1166; 1 W.L.R. 1776 & (C-442/10)) European Court of Justice.
