Jenny Eady came to Old Square Chambers as a pupil in 1990. Later that year she became a tenant and was a very busy junior specialising in employment law. She took Silk in 2006, maintaining a heavy practice alongside various judicial appointments. Other positions she held included chair of the ILS and later (and currently) a Vice President, trustee of FRU and member of the ACAS council. We were very proud to have had her as a member of chambers throughout her practice at the bar – until her appointment as a Senior Circuit Judge in the EAT 2013 – where she replaced former member HHJ Jeremy McMullen QC on his retirement.
We are absolutely delighted today on the announcement that she will be elevated to the High Court bench on 1st October 2019, known as Mrs Justice Jennifer Eady.
