Betsan Criddle KC appointed as the fee paid President of the Welsh Language Tribunal

Old Square Chambers is delighted to announce that Betsan Criddle KC has been appointed as the fee paid President of the Welsh Language Tribunal.

The Welsh Language Tribunal is an independent tribunal which deals with appeals against decisions by the Welsh Language Commissioner in relation to Welsh Language Standards. The Standards are designed to ensure that public bodies in Wales provide services in both Welsh and English.

Betsan’s term commenced on the 24^th October 2024 and will last until the 23^rd October 2029. She will continue to practise alongside her judicial role.
