We are delighted to welcome two inspirational women to chambers to speak at our event on the international theme this year (#embraceequity). Afterwards we will hold a Chatham House rules discussion before we enjoy some social time together over refreshments.
It is a tremendous honour that Her Excellency, The High Commissioner of Sri Lanka, Saroja Sirisena will attend to speak to women in diplomacy.
We are also delighted to welcome Sultana Tadafar KC, who is the first criminal barrister to take silk in hijab. Sultana will speak about veiling and related issues and autonomy in dress.
The discussion will be moderated by our newest silks appointed in the first cohort of King’s Counsel this year: Eleena Misra and Nadia Motraghi.
You will also have the opportunity to meet the women in chambers including those who have helped to organise this event. We look forward to welcoming you on 8 March.
