Laith Dilaimi has been interviewed about the law in relation to Afro-textured hair discrimination as part of the BBC Radio 1Xtra podcast “If You Don’t Know“.

Laith, who represented Ruby Williams, a pupil with Afro-textured hair, in her hair discrimination claim against her school, was interviewed on the BBC Radio 1Xtra podcast about hair discrimination law in the UK.

Laith has also been appointed to World Afro Day’s Mastermind Advisory Panel. The Mastermind Advisory Panel is a group of experts from various fields which has been put together to advise the charity World Afro Day. Other panellists include: Professor D. Wendy Greene, legal architect of the CROWN Act (which makes discrimination against Afro textured hair and protective hairstyles unlawful, and which has become law in 13 US states); Dr Patti O’Brien-Richardson, an award-winning professor specialising in racial and ethnic health disparities; and Akima Paul Lambert, a Litigation Partner at Hogan Lovells.
