Following the release of the book ‘A Practical Guide to Transgender Law‘ co-authored by Robin Moira White and Nicola Newbegin, Old Square Chambers presents this webinar on the comprehensive guide by Robin and Nicola, along with the contributors to the guide, Laith Dilaimi (Old Square Chambers), Dr. S Chelvan (33 Bedford Row) and Andrew Powell (4 Paper Buildings). The session will be chaired by Crispin Blunt MP.
The specialist panel will have a 30 minute discussion in relation to the key points taken from the publication; topics include Asylum, Data Protection, Education, Employment, Family and Healthcare law.
There will then be a 30 minute informative Q&A session, taking questions from attending delegates and addressing any sent in advance. The book has introductory sections on the facts and language related to trans, and then substantial sections on the relevant parts of the Equality Act 2010 as related to transgender individuals, and the Gender Recognition Act 2004.
