Date: 28th October 2020
Time: 2pm until 3pm
Each year Old Square Chambers takes the opportunity to remember, discuss, and explore the contribution of Black History in the UK and challenges we still face.
This year
Nadia Motraghi of Old Square Chambers will chair a panel discussion on history, identity and discrimination in the context of Afro hair, with
Ayesha Casely-Hayford, Actress, Solicitor, and creator of Afro Archives UK, a video, web and radio project discussing heritage, identity, image and the social and political implications of working and performing with Afro-textured hair.
Afro Archives has screened at The National Theatre and The Home Office.
Join us for the discussion on this fascinating, important and under-explored issue. This will be a virtual event. The format will be a presentation and discussion from our speakers followed by a Q&A.
