Old Square Chambers is delighted to announce that Robin White has been named The Lawyer’s ‘Barrister of the week’ following her participation in the case of Rose Taylor v Jaguar Land Rover, which was heard in the Birmingham Employment Tribunal last week. This is a gender-fluid/non-binary Jaguar employee discrimination case. To read a full case summary, please click here.
Robin was instructed by Taylor and the tribunal ruled in favour of Taylor, finding “that gender is a spectrum” and it is “beyond doubt” Taylor was protected.
The case is a major step forward for the LGBTQ+ community but it is an issue of importance close to Robin, who was the first barrister at the employment and discrimination Bar to transition.
