Laith Dilaimi acted for Ruby Williams in her claim for race discrimination against her former secondary school, the Urswick School in Hackney.Ruby, a pupil with afro hair, claimed that she had been repeatedly sent home and otherwise discriminated against and/or victimised because of her hair. Following Laith’s advice on settlement, the claim settled for £8,500 without admission of liability. The settlement was approved by Central London County Court.
