Bruno Gil, pupil summarises the judgment of the EAT in Day v Lewisham NHS Trust and Health Education England (HEE).
The case concerns Dr Day, who worked in Lewisham NHS Trust but wanted to complain about a detriment he said HEE had subjected him to after blowing the whistle.
Bruno says “Dr Day is unlucky in that his relationship with HEE falls outside of the ambit of ERA whistle blowing protection. Dr Day is certainly not the junior doctor affected, however, given that there are 54,000 of them!”
Bruno will be on his feet from 1st April 2016.
